Female Fertility Acupuncture

Our Fertility Acupuncture helps to optimise your fertility naturally and get your baby in to your arms sooner…

Our fertility acupuncture treatments are uniquely and individually designed to help couples conceive by promoting a fertile body  and mind that is optimal for a natural, healthy conception. Our natural fertility acupuncture is for individuals and couples wanting to prepare their body for conception before they begin trying to conceive, for those that have been trying to conceive for a little while and haven’t had any ‘luck’, and for those who want assistance conceiving naturally before taking the next step which may involve the unnecessary use of medical intervention or IVF.

We use a combination of acupuncture and traditional Chinese Medicines to enhance fertility by optimising reproductive hormones, rebalancing the physiological response to stress (which often plays a role in fertility outcomes), and correcting any disharmonies within the body that may be impacting your fertility. In doing this we create the ideal environment for a healthy conception, pregnancy and baby.

We focus on women’s health using Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to regulate hormones, effectively supporting the symptoms of endometriosis, PCOS and menopause.n Healthy sperm. Male fertility treatment

What causes of infertility does our natural fertility acupuncture treat?

There are a number of reasons couples may be experiencing a delay in conception. Being overworked, stressed, emotional disorders, menstrual irregularities, improper diet/lifestyle, environmental toxins and a variety of medical conditions can all be detrimental to your fertility health.

Not being able to conceive can be extremely confusing and stressful for couples, and the search for answers can cause a great deal of strain not only on your everyday life but within your relationship itself. At Spring we have a team of highly qualified and skilled fertility acupuncturists that have the expertise and specialised training to assist couples through this next beautiful stage in their life together, that of creating their family. We approach fertility by addressing all areas of fertility health to optimise your chances of conceiving without the need for medications and invasive procedures.

Our fertility acupuncture takes the stress out of what can be a very emotional time as we support both the male and female with optimising their fertility on a physical, psychological and pathophysiological level.

Being diagnosed with a medical condition that affects your fertility can be an incredibly difficult time for many. Conditions such as PCOS (poly-cystic ovary syndrome), endometriosis, adenomyosis, PID (pelvic inflammatory disease), and poor sperm parameters (see Male Fertility acupuncture) are a few of the more prevalent health concerns that may be the cause of your delayed conception.

However, clinical trials have shown acupuncture to be incredibly effective in treating the symptoms of conditions (such as endometriosis) and can regulate any internal factors that these conditions can impart on your fertility health.

Weighing up the financial and health costs of drug therapy that artificially control hormones in an attempt to improve your chances of conception is a decision that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Too often couples rush into having these clinical procedures, when trying naturally with the help of acupuncture, herbs and the right lifestyle advice can be more effective and a whole lot better for your body and mind (1).

For most people simple lifestyle changes and acupuncture treatments that gently assist your body to regulate any internal factors that are affecting your fertility will dramatically improve your chances of a natural conception. At Spring we use acupuncture, herbs, supplementation and Chinese dietetics to optimise your chances of a healthy and natural conception and pregnancy.

Is there science behind our Natural Fertility Acupuncture?

With the support of Traditional Chinese Medicine pregnancy rates have been shown to improve ‘2-fold within a 4 month period compared with Western medical fertility drug therapy or IVF’ according to one Australian Systematic Review (1).

A 2011 study published in the Fertility and Sterility Journal demonstrated that ‘stress can significantly reduce the probability of conception each day during the fertile window’ (2). Suggesting the use of Acupuncture when trying to conceive may reduce stress and its undesirable effects on hormones,  improving your chances of pregnancy, especially for those who lead busy and demanding lives (4).

When should you start your fertility acupuncture?

It is best to commence acupuncture before you want to start trying to conceive. Ideally 3-9 months before conception to implement any lifestyle changes and alter any internal factors affecting both you and your partner’s fertility health. We know both males and females have a 3 month cycle to mature eggs and produce sperm so it is during this time that Chinese medicine does what we call ‘nourishing the soil’, ie. optimising a health growth cycle of your egg and sperm ready for conception.

Our fertility acupuncture takes the stress out of what can be a very emotional time as we support both the male and female with optimising their fertility on a physical, psychological and pathophysiological level.
